The day the cowboy cried
Spotify Partner: Fan Life
I was invited by Whalar and Spotify to create something around the band Geese.
Being one of my favourite bands (see earlier fan art) it has been a real honour working on this.
I let myself inspire by the mood on the album 3D country and it's title track.
The lyric "The day the cowboy cried" became my main theme to start creating.
Being an illustrator that normally loops visuals, I wanted to challenge the edit a bit more.
I decided to make multiple shots to make the assembly a bit more vivid and dynamic. Introducing the cowboy, and than let the shots lead eachother to the next one.

Sound Design by Audiosaus
Because of license reasons, we could not use a Geese track. But it felt wrong to have other music to fan art of a band.
So I teamed up with Leander from Audiosaus. He did his magic and stacked up instruments and sounds, to walk in the Geese universe without having actual Geese music used. It really brought life into the visuals. Never skip good sound people!
Narration: The meaning of music as a creative.
The main aspect of the partnership was telling a bit about myself, and what music means to me as a creative.
I delivered a reel talking about myself a bit more, and having some behind the scenes material.
The focus here is not on the end product or aniamtion, but about being a creative and showing a process.
